Extended Day Director Bio

Dave grew up on the north side of Madison, then moved to Monona, and graduated from high school there. He has also lived in the Milwaukee and Green Bay areas, but has always returned to Madison. As he says, “This is home.”

 

He spent the first 18 years of his adult life working in the retail field as a sales associate and then in various levels of management, from Assistant Manager to District Manager for different companies.

 

In 1993, he found his true calling and opened a licensed in-home child care called Almost Home Child Care. It was very successful for the next eight years. In July 2001 he was asked to interview for the position of Director for a new after-school program that was beginning at St. Dennis School. “In retrospect, one of the luckiest days of my life was the day I was offered the position at St. Dennis by Father Schmitt,” says Dave. “I have had the privilege of working here for eight years and look forward to many more. The sense of community and the spirit here are amazing. I feel very blessed to be part of the special place that is St. Dennis School and Parish.”

 

Dave is happily married to his wife, Barb. They have four grown children and three grandchildren.
