Ron taught band at St. Dennis School from 1998-2004, and returned for the 2006-2007 school year. He has taught for the Madison Metropolitan School District for the past three years, as well as teaching Practicum and Methods courses at the University of Wisconsin – Madison as a Teaching Assistant.
In addition to teaching band at St. Dennis, he currently teaches a class at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and is a full-time graduate student in Music Education. He intends to pursue his PhD degree.
Ron earned a bachelor's degree, also from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He completed his master's degree in Music Education in December 2008.
“I really enjoy working with the students and families at St. Dennis and believe that having fun and self-motivation are important aspects of learning,” Ron says. “In band, I aim for a wide variety of music and musical styles for students to experience, and am working to have band students play more for school masses and special events in addition to band concerts.”
