- Megan Reischel
First grade is a fun-filled year of hands-on learning. We use discovery, exploration and projects to broaden our knowledge about our world, our community and ourselves.
Just a few of the things our students look forward to in first grade are: fall field trip to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch; a focus on literacy through participation in Reading Club, guided reading, and phonics; daily writer's workshop; expanding math skills by learning about geometry, money, time and fractions; finding ways to be more like Jesus in our daily lives; meeting Horton the elephant and learrning about forgiveness; and the end of year field trip to Henry Vilas Zoo.
