Principal's Welcome

Hello and welcome to St. Dennis Catholic School!

My name is Mr. Matt Beisser and I am the principal of St. Dennis School. Welcome to our website! I know you will find a wealth of information on the wonderful educational, spiritual and social benefits we have to offer our students from 4K to eighth grade.

Jesus said, “Do onto others as you would have them do onto you.” It is our goal to guide our children in making responsible choices, just as Jesus does for us. Therefore, we emphasize choosing the right attitude. We all need to remind ourselves the important role attitude plays in our daily lives. “Attitude is the little thing that makes a big difference.”

It's our mission to provide children with the understanding that a quality Catholic education will lead to a successful future. In addition to a strong faith-based education, we continually evaluate the opportunities we provide to our students, finding new and improved activities to take our school to the next level. Some of those either started or brought back this year are the Student Council, Safety Patrol and the school newspaper.

We've also established our popular Friday morning movement program where the entire school comes together for fifteen minutes of fun activity. We begin with a prayer, say the pledge of allegiance, and announce weekly attitude award winners (drawn from the names of all the students who have demonstrated positive attitudes during the week). We then take part in a lively activity such as a team building exercise or dance. Teachers have commented on how energized students are when they return to class, ready to learn.

A unique feature we have had for many years at St. Dennis is our “school families.” Each of our students, from grades 4K-8, belongs to a “family” for the entire year, under the leadership and guidance of an eighth grade leader. These multi-grade families, who work on projects, pray together and support each other, contribute greatly to the warm feeling of one community we all enjoy at St. Dennis School.

We also always endeavor to share our blessings and gifts with our parish, our community and those in need. One way our students do that is by taking part in many service and charitable giving projects.
